Riordan’s SuperValu Fermoy officially opened its newly revamped store on Thursday of last week following a €3.5 million investment at Courthouse Road.

The extensive revamp delivers an enhanced shopping experience for customers in its new, bright and inviting store, with key offerings such as the bakery and deli counters relocated to the front of the building.

Proudly celebrating its 60th year in business, the Fermoy store is a third-generation family enterprise going back to John Riordan’s time when he first opened for business in 1965 on the town’s MacCurtain Street.

Twenty years later, John relocated the business to its current Courthouse Road premises in 1985.
