Reliving the ’80s in Fermoy as TY production goes down a treat

There was a trip down memory lane for the students of Loreto Secondary School and St. Colman’s College when they jointly hosted ‘Back To The ’80s – The Totally Awesome Musical’ in the Palace Theatre, Fermoy last weekend.

This show ran over 4 sold out nights and was roundly praised for the excellence of its production, the quality of the choreography and overall entertainment value. 

Transition Year students from both secondary schools stepped up to the mark in a serious way with a succession of outstanding performances. The entire extravaganza was expertly woven together by experienced campaigner, Valerie O’Leary, who said she was hugely impressed by the enthusiasm and work ethic of students – many of whom were coming to the stage for the first time.
