The handling of the Boil Water Notice affecting households in the Kilmagnier / Waterpark area has been strongly criticised this week.
Cllr William O’Leary stated that failures in communication and transparency are part of a wider pattern of ongoing problems with the public water utility, Uisce Éireann.
According to the Fermoy MD councillor, he received multiple calls from constituents who were not directly informed that their homes were subject to a boil water notice and only discovered this after making enquiries themselves.
