A charity raceday in association Marymount University Hospital & Hospice will be held at Cork Racecourse Mallow on August 17 to race much needed funds for the hospice which allows those suffering with a terminal illness to live out their final days in peace and comfort.

The first race is set for 1.25pm, with the last going to post at 4.55pm. Music after racing will be provided by Chris Kavanagh, DJ Stevie G and Louise Morrissey with Handipak.

All proceeds from August 17 will go directly to Marymount’s specialist community palliative care services.

This vital service supports those living at home with a serious illness in Cork City and County.

Marymount heavily relies on donations to maintain the vital services that their palliative care nurses offer.

Thanks to Woodlands Catering, there will be plenty of hospitality options available to cater for everyone’s tastes, from Champagne Afternoon Tea in the pavilion, to a four-course meal in the restaurant overlooking the final furlong.

Iarnrod Eireann will also kindly be running a service from Cork Kent to Mallow Train Station. Tickets are available exclusively online with us, and include admission to the races.
