There are eleven secondary school students living in the Ballyduff area who are unsure as to how they will get to school in Fermoy next week as they have been told that they have lost their bus seats.
All the students in question are only entitled to concessionary tickets for their school transport to Fermoy as Ballyduff is considered to be within the catchment of Blackwater Community School in Lismore.
However, every year many students from the area choose to go to secondary school in Fermoy – either to St Colmans College, Loreto Secondary School or Coláiste an Chraoibhín for various reasons.
