The immaculately maintained garden of Pat and Kathleen McGrath, Carrigane, Kilbehenny, was the setting for an open day fundraiser in aid of Claire Downey-Smith. The very well supported event took place last Friday is balmy conditions.

The McGrath family were gracious hosts, with the couple on first names terms with most of the visitors. The McGraths were anxious to thank everyone who attended, especially those who assisted with the catering. The McGraths selected some of their favourite classical tunes as background music for the event.

According to Pat, the garden has been ‘a 40 year project’.
