County colours fly high at new GAA Fan Room

County pride, GAA legends and match-day spirit were on full display in Dublin last week as one hotel celebrated its launch beside Ireland’s most iconic sporting stadium. The Maldron Hotel Croke Park welcomed an impressive line-up of GAA personalities and special guests for an afternoon of food, music and celebration.

GAA stars, Fermoy’s Gaelscoil principal and Kerry football legend, Tomás Ó Sé, along with Declan Hannon and Hannah Tyrrell also took the opportunity to officially unveil its new GAA Fan Room, which will be in place the hotel until the conclusion of this year’s championship season. One lucky guest each night between now and the conclusion of this year’s All-Ireland Championships will have an opportunity to stay in this unique room, upon request and subject to availability.

Among those in attendance were Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns, along with GAA stars and sports fans.

Guests, who were encouraged to arrive in their county colours, were welcomed with a specially crafted match-day inspired cocktail and served delicious canapés. Traditional Irish music set the tone from the outset, creating a lively atmosphere that had attendees clapping, singing and celebrating together.

Welcoming guests, General Manager Adrian Foy spoke of the excitement surrounding the opening of this new destination, just steps from Croke Park.

As the formalities concluded, guests raised a glass to the hotel’s future success and enjoyed the atmosphere of a true match day gathering. With music, conversation and county colours throughout, the launch offered a first taste of what Maldron Hotel Croke Park will bring to the city.
