A new dedicated visitor car park serving Ballard Waterfall will open to the public from 9am on Saturday, 10th October, providing safer, better-managed access to Ballard Waterfall and its popular woodland trail in the years ahead.
Located on the Curraghanolomer Road (R456), between Kilworth and the Mountain Barracks, Avondhu Blackwater Partnership CLG developed the project in partnership with Coillte and Cork County Council, with funding from the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS).
The development includes a new surfaced parking area, entrance barrier, visitor information board and picnic facilities, creating a clearly defined starting point for visitors to Ballard Waterfall Trail.
