With Bord Bia’s Bloom Festival online once again this year, Fermoy’s own Donal O’Lochlainn and wife Edna have teamed up with Fermoy Musical Society for a one-of-a-kind entry.
Last year, when the competition which normally takes place in Phoenix Park, Dublin moved online and asked people to participate from their own homes, Donal, Edna and friend Niall shot a video of the garden and secured the winning entry for the ‘Best Craic’ category.
Following the success of Bloom with RTÉ last year, Bord Bia has joined forces with RTÉ for a new competition that invites the public to share their gardening creations on social media over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
