Local pharmacies to begin rollout of Covid-19 vaccines

Pharmacists are preparing to start administering Covid-19 vaccinations this month, according to Health Minister, Stephen Donnelly.

According to Mr Donnelly, the HSE confirmed on Monday that pharmacists would be included in the administration of Covid-19 vaccines.

Among those is Lyons Family Pharmacy on McCurtain Street in Fermoy.

Speaking with The Avondhu, family pharmacist Michael Lyons of Lyons Family Pharmacy told The Avondhu that expressions of interest were sent out last month and that the pharmacy was approved by the HSE going forward.
