Mick McCarthy’s commitment to the people of Fermoy and Mitchelstown of close on 40 years was marked this week at his retirement event in the town. 

Mick, who worked for the County Council, was well known for his hard work around both towns. 

He spoke to The Avondhu about his career and sent his thanks to the people of The Avondhu area.
