2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Fermoy Karate Club – one of the longest established associations in the country.

The founding fathers were Paul Barry, along with Neil and Sean Sargent. Little did this trio think that their sport would go on to prosper so spectacularly in the Blackwater town.

Last weekend, the club marked the anniversary with a celebratory meal in the Hong Kong Restaurant, Fermoy, followed by drinks in The Long Bar.
