The Mitchelstown GAA grounds have undergone a lot of development in recent times and during the summer it was favourably commented upon by visiting clubs.
In an ambitious undertaking the club has floodlit its main field – no expense was spared and the famous Limerick Road venue now has one of the best floodlit pitches in the county.
The occasion was marked on Saturday evening last with an official switching on ceremony.
The event doubled as a farewell party for Mark Keane, who, as we write, is settling in to his new surroundings in Australia.
