Ita Kiely, following 21 years of dedicated service to visitors at Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges, retired last week, surrounded by family, staff and well-wishers.
Ita was joined at Ballyhoura Lodges in Ballyorgan by her husband Willie, her children and their partners, and her eight grandchildren for the celebration last Saturday, where she was presented with flowers and gifts to thank her for her years of service by John Cunningham on behalf of Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges, and Michael O’Sullivan, on behalf of Ita’s former colleagues.
A full festive atmosphere was enjoyed by all, and thanks was paid to both Niamh Noonan and Amy Moynihan, who set the scene with linen cloths, colourful china and arrangements of wildflowers.
