The events just keep coming in Araglin. Following on from a brilliantly successful ‘1916 evening’ last Sunday, attention now shifts to Araglin Drama Group who have been doing their own ‘manoeuvres’ in the last few months.

At this stage, it’s all about fine tuning what promises to be a fantastic production of ‘Widows’ Paradise’ – a 3 act comedy by Sam Cree.

A sea side caravan is an unusual setting for all kinds of merriment, however, that’s what can be expected in Araglin Community Hall, this coming Saturday and Sunday (9th and 10th April) – proceedings get underway at 8.15pm.

An exceptionally talented cast has been assembled with seasoned veterans, John Browne Sr. and Nora Shanahan teaming up with school teacher, Catherine Reidy, artist, Siobhain Tobin and local businessman, Liam Finn.

Tony Leddy from Araglin’s famous musical family is the fore as is rising young star, P.J. Kenneally.

Former Strictly Come Dancing beauty, Caitriona Kenneally-Sisk will be the focus of much attention while her niece, Shauna O’Sullivan – daughter of retired actress, Ena, is another to watch out for – eye candy for the ladies comes in the form of John Martin Browne.

The group have put in a huge effort preparing for the play and the expectation is that patrons will turn out in force this weekend.
