Green fingers? Applications are now being sought from the public in the Limerick ‘Going for Gold – the Most Beautiful Front Garden Competition’.

To qualify, the garden must be visible from a public road, and judging will take place from mid-August until early September. 

The competition was launched recently in Limerick City and County council’s medieval garden in Merchant’s Quay in the city by the mayor, Cllr Gerald Mitchell and the manager of the Parkway Shopping Centre, who sponsor the competition.

The winner will be announced at the gala ‘Going for Gold’ awards held in October. Applications are open until 4th August and the forms can be downloaded from limerick.ie.
