
The well established T.O. Park Honda 50 motorbike run took place last Sunday. Over 70 bikes were registered to take part, which was a brilliant turnout given that there were similar ‘runs’ taking place at other destinations.
Conditions were blustery and showery, however, riders pressed on regardless and the day proved very enjoyable. Proceeds got underway with soup and sandwiches for participants; again, the mood was upbeat, with plenty of chat among those taking part. To ensure safety and to pick up any bikes that suffered mechanical issues, the convoy was accompanied by Paddy Buckley and John Howard – both men did a great job, as did the catering committee who prepared and served the lovely food.
In recent times, the T.O. Park Honda 50 bike run is held in memory of the late Paddy Hartnett, who was a friend to many in Labbamologga and beyond. Members of Paddy’s family were in attendance last Sunday to support the event.
