Ballyduff brothers, Tom and Seamus (Sham) Hyland were honoured on Friday last when they were presented with the Gradam Nioclás Tóibín 2025 award.
Tionól Nioclás Tóibín got underway at the weekend in Ring, in Waterford’s Gaeltacht, at which the Hyland brothers were awarded in recognition of their contribution to music and dance in the Déise region over many years.
Speaking with The Avondhu, Sham Hyland said it was a ‘great honour’ to be presented the awards by their friend and well-known traditional singer, Cárthach MacCraith.
