Fermoy Cycling Club gearing up to host National Youth Road Championships

The prestigious Cycling Ireland National Youth Road Championships are being held this weekend, with Fermoy Cycling Club co-hosting the event, the first such time in its long history.

One of very few clubs in Cork offering underage road cycling training and membership, the club are teaming up with Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club in co-hosting the event on August 16th and 17th. The Criterium events get underway at Cork Marts in Corrin in a closed road circuit event, hosted within the grounds of the Corrin Events Centre site. 

Stephen McGrath of Fermoy Cycling Club explained that excitement is mounting, which will see a total of 12 races take place across U11 to U16 age categories.
