The residents of Kildorrery are said to be in ‘complete shock’ after images showing a man dressed as a priest engaging in sexual activity with another man across the altar of St Bartholomew’s Church emerged last weekend.
In the photographs, the men can be seen participating in a variety of different acts, both on top of, and adjacent to, the church altar.
Both gardai and the diocese yesterday confirmed investigations are under way and the images themselves are now being subjected to forensic examination to determine their authenticity.
