The 39th ‘Annual Galtee Walk’ in aid of the Fermoy Branch Multiple Sclerosis Society, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 21, starting at 10am.

As with so many other event this year, there will be a big difference; the walk will be a virtual one.

Commenting on the changed landscape, Mary Sheahan-Lonergan, PRO for the Fermoy Branch said: “We are sorry we cannot meet as usual on the slopes of the wonderful Galtees but we will have to walk and support each other in a different way and we will have fun, while at the same time raising much needed funds.”

Continuing, she added that the Annual Walk in previous years, was a fun family day out in the Galtee Mountains, but circumstances this year meant that everything would need to be done a little closer to home.
