The most recent clerical changes announced for the Cloyne Diocese sees a major shift for the parishes of Fermoy and Kilworth which, from September 17, will be served by a team of three priests.
Bishop William Crean has accepted the resignation from office, on the grounds of retirement, of Very Rev Canon Donal Leahy, PP, Kilworth to come into effect at noon on Saturday, 17 September 2022.
Canon Leahy will reside in Saleen and be available on request to minister in the area while Rev Patrick Corkery, CC Youghal who moves as CC Fermoy, will reside in Kilworth. Very Rev Brian Boyle who is Administrator in Fermoy is also to be Administrator Kilworth.
