The recycling facilities at the Mart and Library car parks in Fermoy received poor marks in the first round of the IBAL Anti-Litter League which were announced this week.
Fermoy is the reigning IBAL Cleanest Town in Ireland so these results were the source of some disappointment and frustration for Fermoy Tidy Towns Committee.
While all approach roads to the town as well as Patrick Street, Emmet Street, Barnane and Fermoy Town Park all received a Grade A marking, the Mart Car Park was deemed Grade C and the Library Car Park was marked as Grade B.
