
Rathcormac native, Adrian Nolan, has been awarded a first-place prize in the 2026 Love Your Coast photography competition.
Mr Nolan, who now lives in Galway, was recognised by the judges for his photo ‘Stick Man’ portraying fork lightening over the Atlantic Ocean at Salthill Promenade in Galway during an electrical storm.
‘Stick Man’ captured a first place prize in the Coastal Landscape category of the competition.
“I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t expecting a prize to be honest, but I was very happy to be called out the winner for that category,” Mr Nolan told The Avondhu.
