Castletown’ NS petitioning for new multi-purpose facility

A petition has been launched requesting the Department of Education to allocate funding for the construction of a permanent, multi-purpose PE and Assembly Hall at Castletownroche National School.

The parent body of the school launched the new petition last week, calling for the facility in support of the complete education of each child enrolled in the school, and in the interests and enactment of health and wellbeing and inclusivity policies.

Currently, children of the school have no such ‘hall’ facility and are required to walk 500 metres to and from the village Community Hall for PE lessons when such lessons cannot take place outside.
