The case against Richard Satchwell, who is charged with the murder of his Fermoy born wife, Tina Satchwell, could be struck out if the book of evidence is not ready in two weeks’ time, a judge warned this week.

Satchwell (57) was charged with murder in October last year after skeletal remains, found to be that of his missing wife, were found at their home on Grattan Street in Youghal.

On Tuesday, March 12 at Clonmel District Court, Judge Brian O’Shea was told that the State were seeking a further adjournment in the matter and indicated that the book of evidence in the case would likely not be ready by March 26, as an adjournment of four weeks was sought, reports the Irish Independent.
