The National Transport Authority and Bus Éireann have confirmed that an official bus stop for Ballygiblin is to be investigated.
For some time now, calls have been made for an official bus stop to be put in place at Ballygiblin, as currently the 245 bus operates a ‘hail and ride’ system in the village.
Connecting Clonmel and Cork, the 245 bus makes several stops locally including Ballyporeen, Mitchelstown, Kilworth, Fermoy, Rathcormac, Watergrasshill and Glanmire.
Currently, there is no timetabled or scheduled stop for Ballygiblin.
