‘Going to the ends of the earth’. Parents, Helen and Andrew Geary from Ballyhooly have done just that to help their 12 year old son, Calum, who is deaf.
Unfortunately, all treatments to date have failed and it’s a source of deep concern to the Gearys that Calum won’t be able to realise his full potential.
Acknowledging the great work of Calum’s school, St Columbas in Cork City, Andrew told The Ryan Tubridy Show this week of the anguish he feels seeing his son being left behind.
Andrew went on to tell the presenter about Calum’s fear that we would never be able to a have a real job.
