A cool €1.4 million ice cream contract for Fermoy’s Silver Pail Dairy has meant there certainly won’t be a hiring freeze taking place at the family business any time soon.
The entire Tesco own-label range of ice creams will now be manufactured in Fermoy, meaning an extra 20 product lines of tubs, blocks and pint-sized portions of ice creams in a range of flavours are being produced by Silver Pail Dairy.
“We’ve been working with Tesco on this since last summer, so it’s great to see it come to fruition,” Thea Murphy, Managing Director enthused.
