There was a damp end to last Sunday’s gala day in Ballyduff Community Field. However, this didn’t take from what was a successful festival overall. Prior to the rain arriving, patrons were treated to an array of entertainment, music by Mad Mike and some nice food from the barbecue.

The previous evening, mainly young people took part in a very colourful fancy dress parade, that got underway from the Storehouse. On Friday 20th, An Síbín hosted a well supported and enjoyable quiz. The festival had two treasure hunts – the first being a walking treasure hunt for children, followed by a car treasure hunt on Thursday 19th. The annual progressive 45 drive drew a fine crowd to St Michael’s Hall.

One of the highlights of the week was the very lively ‘Trad Street Fest’ on Noonan’s Lane – this created a great buzz around the village and was enjoyed by all.
