
The farm land of Sean English was the setting for last Sunday’s very successful vintage day in Ballylooby. The summer of 2026 will be remembered as one of the finest in recent times and allowing for the lack of rain fall affecting the farm sector, those hosting outdoor events have never had it so good.
It was clear blue skies and sunshine all the way last Sunday, as vintage enthusiasts from across south Tipperary made their way to Ballylooby for what turned out to be a great day for the organisers – members of Ballylooby Community Council.
The day was a combination of vintage (tractors, cars and motorcycles), music (by Willie Ryan), refreshments, amusements and activities for children. The other big attraction was ‘Chrissie’s Fittest Team’ – a series of physical challenges based on the ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’ model.
