The annual Rose Tour set out this week with local lady, Anna Clancy, among the select 32 roses soon set to take to the stage at the live televised airing from the dome in Tralee.
Anna, who is the 2026 Perth Rose, arrived home in Ireland on Monday, August 3rd, to plenty of fanfare in Glanworth and surrounding area, as she prepares to represent her home in Perth, Australia – and the region – in this year’s Rose of Tralee.
“It was all go for the week. The local businesses were so good. Vanilla and Hickeys sponsored me dresses, and Mellerick’s Pharmacy looked after me as well. A designer in Offaly, Geraldine O’Meara, gave me a dress as well,” a bubbly Anna said.
“We had a little gathering on Thursday night with our neighbours, a few of them came over. It was great”.
