This Thursday, May 1st is Alzheimer’s Tea Day – an important fundraiser for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Operating ahead of this schedule, supporters of the Alzheimer Day Care Centre in Mitchelstown, hosted their event in The Hunter’s Rest last Saturday morning.
It was an occasion tinged with sadness, as it was the final time the fundraiser will be held in the popular restaurant, which closed permanently this week.
It was also an opportunity to formally recognise the contribution of the Mullally family to this fundraising venture.
