Fermoy International Choir hitting all the right notes on RTÉ Today programme

The melodic multicultural sound of the Fermoy International Choir could be heard in homes across Ireland this week as the choir went national – courtesy of the RTÉ Today programme on RTÉ 1 television.

RTÉ Today reporter James Patrice was in Fermoy with a crew to film the choir perform a festive song in a host of languages and explain why Fermoy is a town of welcome and respect to all – no matter from where they originally hail.

Singing a Winter’s song, originally Polish, called ‘There is a Day’ the choir performed the song in 14 different languages with lyrics in Spanish, Portuguese, Macedonian, Korean, French, English, Irish, German, Romanian, Italian, Sepedi (a South African Bantu language) and Polish.
