The official merging of Elevate Credit Union and Synergy Credit Union was marked with a celebration in Fermoy on Wednesday as the Credit Union House on Patrick Street opened its doors with a new name and branding, namely Elevate Credit Union.
Speaking with The Avondhu, CEO of Elevate Credit Union, Roy McKnight, said that he was glad to be in Fermoy for the launch.
“This is very much a strategic merger from both sides. Senior management and the board have shown massive foresight and bravery to do this,” he said. “Today is the result of over a year’s work of solid due diligence and planning, and an awful lot of thought went into this merger”.
