
“People give out about our roads but I can assure you, there are very few of them that are as bad as this particular road,” said Cllr John Pratt, when speaking on the condition of the N72 road which connects Tallow and Fermoy.
Highlighting the condition of the busy national road at Monday’s meeting of the Dungarvan Lismore District, the Tallow councillor said that he believes the district should write to Cork County Council.
“I think we need to be writing to Cork County Council at this stage, because the road is absolutely disgraceful. It’s not our doing but it’s absolutely horrendous,” he said. “We’ve a lot of people from west Waterford that travel that road and I would ask that we strongly contact them. It’s up to them to put the funding into it, but it’s gone on for far too long now,” he stated.
