Initiated 6 years ago, the Cheers Bar, Fermoy music marathon has been an important source of income for St. Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy Fundraising Association.
As regular attendees will know, this event is 12 hours of non stop music, catering for a variety of tastes and genres.
Traditionally organised for the June bank holiday weekend, this year's marathon takes place on Sunday next (3rd June) – beginning at 12.30pm.
Proceedings will get under way at 12.15pm with matron of Fermoy Hospital, Barbara Ryan, performing the official opening.
