Waterford City and County Council are in the process of acquiring the former Bank of Ireland building in Lismore.
“We have signed the contracts for the acquisition of that property. They did have higher bids but Bank of Ireland made the decision to accept the council bid,” said Waterford City and County Council Director of Services, Kieran Kehoe.
Local councillor Declan Doocey welcomed the news at Monday’s meeting of the Dungarvan Lismore District.
