Horse and pony traders lined the streets for last Tuesday's Galbally Horse Fair, with traders selling all kinds of goods from household items to footwear in the village square.
This is a unique fair in that it takes place on the streets of the village. Alongside the horse trading, there was a unique collection of stalls, combined with interesting oddities and curiosities.
In full flow, the Irish horse fair is a rough and tumble affair that's not for the faint hearted. The sound track to all horse fairs is country and western cum country and Irish with The Wolfe Tones and Big Tom always featuring prominently.
