Killavullen local Tracy Connolly recently branched out into the world of poetry and music and has had one of her poems published in Go Wild magazine.
Although new to the scene, Tracy is already about to release her very own book of poetry and is currently in the process of recording her first form of musical expression in an album entitled ‘When I’m Alone’.
Much of Tracy’s poetry comes from her experiences, having spent 23 years in the army and going straight into healthcare work afterwards. It wasn’t until lockdown, however, that she began to write.
“I believe it was always just simmering beneath the surface and combined with from a young age of wanting to write music and sing I had bits on manuscripts I wrote lying around for years,” she told The Avondhu.
