Tractor & car run to remember Tom Leahy

Family and friends of the late Tom Leahy are organising a tractor and car run in his memory. This inaugural event will take place on Monday, 2nd January 2023 – departing Castlelyons at 12 noon.

Plans are well advanced for the fundraiser, with proceeds being divided between Marymount and Friends Of Dean & Padraig. A spokesperson for the organising committee said the run was a fitting way to remember Tom. 

“We are getting a very good response and all going well, we will have a big crowd of modern tractors and vintage cars on the 2nd January,” they said. 

BEGINNING AND ENDING IN CASTLELYONS

The assembly point for the run is Glanbia, Castlelyons, with registration from 11am onwards. The run will start at 12 noon sharp. Refreshments are being served in Castlelyons Community Centre. The entry fee is €20 per vehicle. 

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT IN THE PEDLAR’S ROCK

Following the run, popular bar, The Pedlar’s Rock, will host a social evening, beginning at 6.30pm.
