The Cahill family in Kilworth are preparing to take on a three day trek, stretching over 100km, walking from Killarney to Kilworth in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research.
Brothers Dion and Joey Cahill will set out on a fundraising walk on June 27, along with their families, in memory of their sister Karina and mother Siobhán who both lost their lives to Cancer.
The family explained that they had wanted to do something in remembrance and to give back in their names.
“We wanted to do something to both remember them and to give back to Breakthrough Cancer Research and to try and help other families prevent or even avoid, going through similar and to help in some way, to push forward with much needed research”.
