Local homeless man afraid he’ll be ‘found dead’

A Mitchelstown man who has been sleeping rough in the town for almost a year, said he is afraid he will be ‘found dead’ if his current living arrangement continues. 

The man, who grew up and went to school in Mitchelstown had been residing locally in an old house, but the living situation there became untenable after the roof began to collapse. He is now living in a tent, and has a small marquee set up where he cooks for himself. 

However, as weather conditions have worsened in recent weeks, so too has the local man’s living conditions.
