The much anticipated Cheers Bar/Fermoy hospital music marathon takes place in Fermoy this Sunday.

Proceedings kick off at 12.30pm and continue till late. Paul and Mary McNulty are hosting the event and they're delighted with the level of support the fundraiser has received to date.

Numerous individuals and companies have provided raffle prizes and Kearney Catering, Tallow are laying on a barbecue. 10 bands have been booked to perform and the resident DJ is Ian O'Brien.

Organisers are working closely with members of St Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy Fundraising Association and together they hope to raise a substantial amount of money for the hospital.

Ceiling hoists, flat screen televisions, pressure relieving mattresses and specialist wall cladding are just some of the items purchased by the association in recent times - the wall cladding alone cost €25,000. None of this would be possible without the public's continuing support.
