Planning is at an advanced stage for the Cheers Bar, Fermoy music marathon which takes place on Sunday, June 1. All proceeds from the event are going directly to St Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy.

Patrons can look forward to 10 acts and over 12 hours of live music. It has the potential to be a very lucrative fundraiser and it wouldn't be possible without the goodwill of Paul and Mark McNulty, proprietors of Cheers Bar in Fermoy. Others who've come on board include popular DJ Ian O'Brien and sound engineer, Carl Geoghegan. There's going to be a barbecue on the day courtesy of Kearney Catering in Tallow.
