Junior Cert results were handed out to young pupils across the region on Wednesday, with many local schools abuzz with students who received their first results from State examinations.
Delighted screams could be heard at Loreto Secondary School as many students, receiving results on the day, were ecstatic with what the white envelopes contained for them.
Orla Forde, principal of Loreto Secondary School told The Avondhu that the pupils had worked very hard for the past few years and that the results had reflected this.
