Steam and vintage joining forces in Rathcormac

Vintage enthusiasts in Rathcormac - James O'Donovan, John Kearney, Dan Dooley with Ruby the dog, William Kearney, Liam Twomey, Eddie Quinn, Dermot Dorgan, Jamie Corcoran and James Fitzgerald – eagerly awaiting the stop-over of the annual Dublin to Cork run.

Vintage cars, trucks, tractors and motorbikes will gather, along with steam engines, at the Community Field in Rathcormac on May 29th.

Rathcormac Vintage Club will host the gathering in aid of Rathcormac Men’s Shed coinciding with the Irish Steam Engine Owners Association Dublin to Cork run.

The Dublin to Cork Steam Engine Run, which is a fundraiser for the Irish Wheelchair Association, will be hosted overnight in Rathcormac and are expected to arrive in the village around 6pm that day.

Speaking with The Avondhu, Tom Fitzgerald of Rathcormac Vintage Club, said that they are very much looking forward to the gathering.
