A meeting with the HSE and SouthDoc has been sought by Cork East TD James O’Connor regarding recent information that SouthDoc is considering significant restructuring.
Last week, The Avondhu reported on heightened concerns locally regarding the future of SouthDoc services in the Fermoy area as rumours circulated that the service may close.
Local councillor, Noel McCarthy, at the time said that he had received several representations from members of the public on the matter, and noted the importance of the local service which provides out-of-hours care for a large area.
