
Two organisations from Cork have received funding through the 2025 Aviva Broker Community Fund, with €140,000 awarded in total this year to 58 organisations nationwide.
A number of organisations were shortlisted for top awards following 155 broker-nominated entries from across Ireland, with Corkbased nominees among those recognised.
St. Joseph’s Foundation, Charleville, nominated by Brian OMara of Brown & Brown, received €15,000 as a joint winner of the Charity category. This funding will support the development of an inclusive playground, enhancing respite services for children with intellectual disabilities. The other recipient in this category was the Early Learning Initiative, National College of Ireland, Co. Dublin.

Charleville First Responders, nominated by Keith Kavanagh of McCarthy Insurance Group in the Community Organisation Category, received €11,000 to help maintain lifesaving equipment and deliver CPR training within local communities.
Participation grants were also awarded to the first 50 eligible entries nationwide, with each organisation receiving €700.
Now in its eighth year, the fund provides brokers with a platform to secure financial support for registered charities and community groups, delivering vital support. The judging panel commended the exceptional quality and community impact demonstrated by this years finalists.
