Araglin’s Shauna O’Sullivan is set to make a final stop at The Ramble Inn in Mitchelstown on Sunday before setting out her Rose of Tralee adventure.
Selected as the 2024 Cork Rose, the local lady has travelled the length and breadth of the county, as she prepares to fly the Araglin flag high and represent the Rebel county at one of the most anticipated Irish events of the year.
The Araglin woman has already been spotted at Croke Park for the recent All-Ireland hurling final, the Charleville Show, Cork Summer Show, visits to local schools, and that’s just for starters! A packed schedule before heading for Tralee.
On this Sunday, August 4, at 8.30pm, The Ramble Inn will be decked out to support Shauna with a send-off party before she departs and all are welcome to show their support.
“We wish Shauna all the best at the Rose of Tralee Festival,” said Michael Carey of The Ramble Inn. “We’re looking forward to the night and hope that as many people as possible can come to send her off on a high note. John, my father, is an Araglin man and he’s hoping to see her win the Rose of Tralee,” Mr Carey said.
Glen Flynn will be providing music and entertainment on the night, as all those attending can expect a night of fun, music and high-spirits.
Shauna, who is a Master’s graduate in Pharmacy from UCC, was selected to represent Cork at the Rose of Tralee Festival from 23 entrants. From Araglin, she is the daughter of Ena and Tony O’Sullivan, and is the secretary of the Araglen Carnival. She works as a pharmacist.
